Our Story
Veteran Owned, Family Run
Marshall Wood Works, Ltd. was established in 1975 by Robert Spehar, a US Army veteran and now-retired Pittsburgh Police lieutenant. What started as a small specialty woodworking and cabinet shop grew into a general contracting company. After moving into the Spring Garden community in the 1980s, Marshall Wood Works acquired "the old Getty station up the street" in the 1990s and has operated the location ever since. Offering fresh and tasty breakfast and lunch from the grille, convenience items, fresh coffee and cold pop, as well as high quality Shell gasoline and diesel, Marshall's Cigar is a one-stop shop for all of your essentials, whether they're for your humidor or not!
Marshall's has always been and still is run by the family: Bob and his wife Carol, along with their sons, Bobby, a teacher, and Joey, a radio host, and granddaughter Madilyn. Stop in and say hi! We're here every day but Christmas!
